Of course, with the economy facing a once-in-a-century meltdown, I'm not very comfortable about the future. But there are hints of good news in our profession. Just this week I heard a top learning executive at General Electric tell of how her CEO told his top training and development folks that he needs them now--in this difficult time--more than ever to step up and lead in the organization. There's hope for all us learning professionals.
